AERO ENDO Sensing there would be no racing on the Saturday of the Tiger Trophy, Martin immediately focused on his freestylin. Straight off the windward shore and generously right in front of the packed Rutland clubhouse of spectators he nailed his first ‘AeroEndo’ in one take. Thanks to Martin for gamely sharing his Aero-batics, 10/10 for that one! No RS Aero sailors were harmed in the making of this film. Quite the contrary, looking at the beaming grin from Martin during and after, once he had overcome his surprise! The lesser spotted flat water nose dive can catch the unwary out in very gusty conditions when the rig wants to accelerate faster than the hull is able to keep up. You can be at risk if you are travelling slowly in a lull when the front edge of a big nasty gust hits you unexpectedly from behind - hence it can take you by surprise! This is not likely to happen in flat water after you have accelerated. Remedies are to keep an eye out behind you and move backwards in good time. Luffing a little will give less nose down force, the boat well accelerate rather than suffering a stalled pressure build on the main. Luffing then also enables you to move to windward of the centerline and thus back behind the front of the rudder. Keep your front hand ready on that mainsheet, ready to give it a big pull if you get a wobble to windward!

Chunky is ejected, prior to hitting his big speed!

On Sunday 21st February at Northampton SC in the UK with the Club anenometer peaking at 37kn (but a little sheltered apparently) and heinously gusty Chunky let rip down the lake on just three downwind angles. The data looks good - The the big max speed is at 28-30 seconds on the vid, with speed peaks of both 23.9kn (27.5mph) and 23.1kn (26.6mph).

MAGIC MARINE RS SOUTHERNS, UK - A nice little video of the RS Southern Champs held at Lymington in June. Starring Archie, Karl, Matt and Chloe together with the RS200, 400s and 500s.

Panama Jazz! Sea Masters Academy Panama. Great to see RS Aeros reaching Central America. Thanks to Guillermo for the fun video. Check them out at http://www.seamasterspty.com - July 2016

Anthony (Chunky) York's compilation of having too much fun in his first year, so far, in the RS aero. Hang on to your seats! - Sept 2016

CHELMARSH UK INLAND CHAMPS - The Movie! Massive thanks to Des Seal of www.dessealtv.com for producing this brilliant drone movie of our 41 boat Magic Marine supported Inland Champs at Chelmarsh. Des really captures the pleasant day at Chelmarsh nicely, showing the closeness of the racing in Chelmarsh's lovely surrounds. The drone view, providing a 3D viewpoint, is very useful for watching sailing races and especially for the start lines as it enables the viewer better judgement of distance and angles.

Anthony York on Day 1 of a very windy End of Season Champs 2016 at Rutland, UK, in the RS Aero 7

Stunt double, Liam Willis, gives the Class Manager's RS Aero a workout like it has never seen before at the RS Classes End of Season Champs, Rutland, UK - Nov 2016

Day 2 at the End of Seasons. The first half of the epic 2 hour endurance Pursuit Race by Chunky, Rutland - Nov 2016

At the RS Classes End of Seasons Pursuit Race Sportography.tv were on hand making a movie of the epic outing with the aid of their eye in the sky. 30kn gusts and freezing temperatures pushed the fleet to the limit with the RS Aeros holding there own where the spinnaker classes struggled to hoist their kites on the reaches. Chris Larr led the race to near the end to take 3rd. In total six RS Aero 7s finished in the top ten and Peter Craggs' finish won him the RS Aero 7 UK Southern Circuit - no mean feat with only 68 finishers from the 113 entries! - Nov 2016
